Terms And Conditions

To ensure the health and safety of both your pet and our handlers we require that all our clients follow these important guidelines.

Key Collection & Return: Keys are normally supplied at consultation. If this is unsuitable, then the key can be left in a secure location on the property.

fetch. Pet Sitting holds keys securely and only a system number, not an address, identifies them. Many clients take advantage of our key storage service where we hold a key securely for future jobs. Naturally the keys remain your property at all times. If this is unsuitable, then fetch. Pet Sitting can leave the keys in an agreed place in your home on our last visit.

If none of these key arrangements are suitable, then a special key pick up or return service by fetch. Pet Sitting incurs a $10 fee.

Feeding: For our Pet Concierge service, a clear brief outlining the feeding habits of your pets is required at time of booking. Owners must ensure adequate food is available to cover the pet sitting period. I authorize fetch. Pet Company to purchase additional pet food, kitty litter or other supplies without prior notice in the event that supplies are exhausted during my absence and charge an additional 20% fee.

Home Environment: Perimeters must be safe and secure before owners leave pets at home e.g. pet access to high balconies, unfastened gates and unsecure fences is not acceptable. The owner must accept full responsibility for any damage incurred to carpet, flooring, bedding, furniture, ornaments, curtains, window or door furnishings, gardens and lawns or to any other area inside or outside the home in the event that the pets urinate, defecate, vomit, chew, scratch, shred, knock over, dig or cause damage by any other method during owners absence. fetch. Pet Company recommends pet owners check they have home building and contents insurance cover.

Medication: If your pet(s) require medication, fetch. Pet Company must be fully informed of and equipped to cater to their needs.

Identification: For our Petsercise service your dog must wear a collar with an ID/council registration tag and their walking lead must be provided. Please label with your dog’s name.

fetch. Pet Concierge will provide fresh water, treats (if allowed) and toys at every service.

Behaviour/ Aggressive animals: If, in the opinion of fetch. Pet Company, an animal(s) represents a danger to a handler during a service call, then service may be suspended. fetch. Pet Company will attempt contact with the owner of the animal(s) as quickly as possible. Owners must certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any persons or other dogs. For Petsercise, fetch. Pet Company reserves the right to refuse to take a dog if they display aggressive behaviour at time of collection or signs of transmittable illness or are taking medication for transmittable illness.

General Health: For Petsercise, all dogs must be in good health. At time of booking all dogs must be free from transmittable illnesses. We strongly recommend that dogs have tick control, especially in ‘tick season’, summer. If the dog walker deems the dog as unfit we reserve the right to stop before the allocated time amount given for the walk. If not neutered the pet must not be, or due to be on ‘heat’ at time of booking. For our Pet Concierge service, if a pet is ailing due to old age or convalescing from sickness, a tailored package must be agreed due to the demand for greater care and feeding. It is also advised your pet should be up to date with flea & tick/worming treatment.

Vaccinations: All cats and dogs must have current vaccinations. Owners must provide written proof (provided by all vets) that their cats have at least current F3 vaccinations and dogs have current C5 vaccinations.

Fish feeding service is for ‘dry flake’ type food for basic goldfish or tropical fish in a basic bowl or aquarium. Multiple aquariums or saltwater tanks or more complicated feeding or care may necessitate a fee or revised fee. We can discuss this at initial consultation.

Bird feeding service is for small ‘domestic’ type birds such as a budgerigar, cockatiel or canary with basic seed food requirements. Multiple cages, aviaries or more complicated feeding or care may necessitate a fee or revised fee. We can discuss this at initial consultation.

Plant watering service provided up to 10 plants. More than this, or a complicated watering schedule, may necessitate a fee or revised fee. We can discuss this at initial consultation.

Petsercise service, all dogs must be older than 4 months of age, fully vaccinated and registered with the appropriate council. They must be compatible with other dogs, preferably familiar with common commands and trustworthy off the leash if you would like them to run around off of it.

Pet Concierge, if animals are under 4 months, a tailored package must be agreed due to the demand for greater care and feeding.

Pet Camp, at time of booking all dogs must be free from transmittable illnesses. We strongly recommend that dogs have tick control, especially in ‘tick season’, summer as well as up to date with flea/worming treatment. Your dog must also be fully vaccinated up to veterinary standards and if not neutered must not be, or due to be on ‘heat’ at time of booking. All dogs must be well socialized and obey basic commands. They must be fully house trained (toilet etc.) unless aged 6 months or under. Owners must certify that their dog(s) have not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any persons or other dogs.

Reservations/Cancellations/Early return: Cancellations advised to fetch. Pet Company with less than 24 hours notice must make payment of the first visit of the booking. (‘Notice’ period deemed to be up to noon the day prior to the day of service.)

Any ‘no-shows’ or dishonoured reservations that do not advise fetch. Pet Company are charged full service fee.

There are no cancellation penalties for Pet Concierge if client returns home early. However, if client returns home 24hrs before the scheduled last visit OR neglects to advise fetch. Pet Company of early return and a service call is made to the house, then the fee will apply.

Because of holiday pay loading, there is a 50% surcharge per visit on public holidays for all clients and services.

Bookings/reservations are not confirmed until either payment has been made in full, unless otherwise stated by fetch. Pet Concierge.

Home Security;

Alarms: fetch. Pet Company will use its best endeavours to disarm any alarm upon entry. The client will honour any costs associated with alarm activation, such as guard dispatch.

If applicable: I authorize fetch. Pet Company to employ the services of a locksmith in the event that entry to my premises is compromised (fetch. Pet Company staff pay for locksmith services if at fault) and accept full responsibility for any damage to locks or doors that may occur during the process of gaining access to premises.
